More with less – Making the most of waste

Office S&M Architects are known for their experimental approach and inventive use of materials, waste and colour. In this talk, they will discuss how reusing waste and achieving energy efficiency in  buildings can not only be functional but bring joy and delight. Sustainability in architecture is so often framed under narratives of loss and restrictions, instead Office S&M propose to use this urgent need to reduce waste and carbon emissions to generate new forms of architectural expression: an architecture that is materially resourceful yet culturally rich. In short, how can we do more with less?
